Những kẻ trí dũng kiêm toàn ở trên đời không có nhiều. | When Heaven gives birth to man, if qi (vital energy) gathers in the subtle center, wisdom is born. If qi disperses into the four limbs, the person is simple. The simple have great strength. The wise are often weak. Those who possess both wisdom and courage are not numerous in the world. |
| Cho nên ai hơn được một trăm người thì đứng đầu một trăm người, ai hơn được một ngàn người thì đứng đầu một ngàn người. Hơn một ngàn người thì thành một quân. Ai có tài ứng biến với thời cơ, có thể đương đầu với một cuộc tấn công thì đủ sức làm trưởng quân (cầm đầu một quân). | Therefore, whoever surpasses a hundred people leads a hundred people. Whoever surpasses a thousand people leads a thousand people. Surpassing a thousand people forms an army. Whoever has the talent to adapt to the opportune moment and can withstand an attack is capable of becoming a Commander (trưởng quân). |
